What I Like

The story started when I was 17,
(the day I turned 17)
one of SSP wardens called me to the warden room
for a parcel to be claimed.

(Oh no, I don't have a bf that time, who sent me the parcel, I wondered)

It turned out to be the king of my life! -- My dad

He surprised me with a Tiffany&Co. paper bag!
Oh well, I just mentioned to him how I liked
the boutique, cause it's tiffany blue (duhh it's the name for God's sake!)
and I like (still like) the designs till now.

And tadaaaaaa he gave me a necklace,
and in his note, he mentioned that the necklace
shall be passed down to generations,
of future Syahminas and so I kept the necklace well.
Next, I received a Tiffany&Co. bracelet and I love it just too much.
A dad has never disappointed his children, indeed.
In this case, it's true that good things come in small packages.

I have to admit that I like something that's long lasting,
can be used for a long period of time and
definitely something that is not trite
till people have mistakenly thought that I'm brand conscious,
no I am not.

I have my own preferences,
I always have a sense of favouritism in life,
which is not really good, but I always stick to it.

But my point is,
I would love having something that could give me
fullest satisfaction,
because I've been longing for that since forever
and I got that.
Regardless whether it's a gift,
or something that I buy for myself as a reward on something.

I guess Tiffany&Co. is like the one and only BRAND
(if you still think I'm brand conscious)
that wins my heart
(oh and Tissot)

The two Ts. The rest,
I am perfectly fine, in fact I've always bought
unbranded, cheap blouses instead of
Zara or Top Shop ones tho.
It's okay if it's cheap,
as long as it is comfortable and nice to wear :)
And in fact, most of the times,
I don't even know what brands are considered as branded.

Yes, that's right.
I have my own preferences,
I am not brand conscious,
I never care about what clothes you wear
or what bags you carry.
I don't rate people based on that.
I value people based on how they treat others.
Your Chanel bags can't buy my love, sorry.

I wear things that I like most,
I don't rate my best clothes or bag of the year based on price,
it's definitely based on what I always wear and prefer to wear.

Banality

Some pictures posted on ig are just too banal,
I agreed.
But hey, I did that too!

Truth is,
we can't run away from the norms,
the trends that are going viral.

That's why we have a term
called trend setters for those who set the trend.

I may be your instagram spammer,
I may not be one of your likers or followers.
Idk, that's just me.

I post pictures that I want to post,
based on my own preferences.

I like pictures that I think it looks attractive
and significant meanings
(I guess)

But the point is,
we, as humans, we can post anything we want
as long as it doesn't harm any party,
no cyber bully,
no hatred post or anything.

Well,
you can certainly judge people based on their posts,
it's definitely up to you
but don't blame others if they judge you too.

Because I don't think
it's appropriate to criticise people
like you're the only one that can do better.

Oh poor girl,
please know that the society doesn't live
to please you,
and please know that not only your opinion matters,
others' too!

Thank you

Opps 49 days uh-uh

I received offer from
  • University of New Brunswick
  • Western University
  • University of Ottawa
  • McGill University

and yet to hear news from
  • University of Alberta

I am more than happy to receive all of the offers and definitely
have my own preferences.

And guess what,
I've made my choice already.

and now, it's 49 days to go
before my final IB exam!

I'm more than scared, but I gotta do
whatever it takes to study hard
and smart (my math teacher always tell me that)

and nail my exam!

Hopefully my parents' dream
to send me off to Canada will come true,
I hope so too!

And hopefully the dreams of all my friends
to be flying off to their respective preferred university
do come true too!

All the best to everyone,
be it the IB students or A Level students,
we're all in this together!

The Power of Vivy Yusof

When Sofina3 bags were released, it took only two hours for them to be sold out!
(All colours, all collections, worldwide!)
Because they are inspired by VivyYusof!

All her #fvootd became viral over time, and
I personally will spend 34% of my time per day,
looking at all her pictures and videos,
because I found them very interesting and could be very funny!

She's been such as inspiration to me
thanks to Aida for showing her instagram to me
and for idk so many reasons,
I just want to be a young entrepreneur so badly.
but first, let me finish my IB exam and fly to the land of Niagara Falls
and graduate, become an electrical engineer
and continue with the plans and dreams that I always tell
my parents and Pan.

To Vivy Yusof,
keep inspiring (I bet I am not the only one who feels this way!)
all youths need someone like you as our inspiration
and trust me,
you deserve all the happiness you have today.
May Allah shower you&your lil family with His blessings.
